From the moment you walk into the door at Winestyles and set your sights on the vast collection of heavy reds and sweet whites, you know you have found the place to quench your thirst for a good time.
Located on Dowlen near Hobby Lobby in Beaumont, this locally owned wine shop is a warm and welcoming location to have flavorful spirits and a unique blend of homemade tapas with friends after work.
With merchandise from local craft beer vendors and even Sour Lake’s Bruno Winery, Winestyles offers any fan of good drinks something to suit his or her preference.
Although Winestyles is a franchise, Beaumont’s location is owned and operated by Beaumont resident Kandy Daniel, who used to work for the City of Beaumont.
“My love of wine inspired me to retire and open up Winestyles eight years ago,” said Daniel, who can be found entertaining wine enthusiasts five days a week in the heart of the bustling West End.
Winestyles offers plenty of fun events for loyalty wine and beer club members, as well as new customers each month.
Every Tuesday, customers can enjoy a wine flight tasting of four varieties at an affordable price ($8 for non-members and $4 for wine club members).
Twice a month, customers can reserve their spots for the original Wine-O Bingo. At Winestyles, it’s free to play, and winners always receive fun prizes.
On Friday, listen to live jazz music while enjoying wine and handcrafted cheese trays. Loyal wine club members receive complimentary pairings and pick up their monthly selections; non-members pay $10.
If you join the wine club on a Friday evening, chances are your taste and pairing might be free.
Winestyles also gives customers the chance to learn more about wine through their monthly Winery Spotlight tastings, which include an educational taste-and-learn session on specialty wines.
During the month of September, the spotlight showcases California wines with a food pairing of salad, cheese trays and pasta. Reservations are required.
If you’re in the market for a bottle of wine, all varieties are aligned by taste and flavor. Prices can range from the lower end ($12-$20 a bottle) to higher end brands (more than $26 a bottle).
Clueless about what to order? We recommend a bottle of Deakin Estate Moscato with an order of cream cheese and roasted raspberry chipotle sauce and crackers.
Ladies, for your next girls’ night, be sure to purchase a bottle from Winestyles.
Find the perfect merlot, pinot grigio or sauvignion blanc to suit your fancy and have your bottle chilled for no charge in less than five minutes.
